In 2005, writer Greil Marcus wrote an entire book – “Like A Rolling Stone: Bob Dylan At The Crossroads” about Dylan spending a couple of lengthy recording sessions in Columbia’s Studio A in mid-June, 1965, trying to get a master recording of what he must have sensed would be his breakthrough song, his classic “Like A Rolling Stone.” Generally speaking, in those days, Bob was not a big multi-take guy.
